Elijiah and Chasity avoided eachother for the next week. Chasity held her head high walking past him, while Elijiah dropped his eyes, and turned to the nearest girl to take his mind off of her.
Elijiah's P.O.V.
"I gotta keep my head clear for the game tonight." he told himself while he shuffled through his locker looking for his homework.
*Chasity walks up and begins to search through her locker beside his.
"Hey Chasity are you going to the bonfire tonight out at my house after the game tonight?" Luke said leaning up beside the other side of her locker.
*Eli nearly froze waiting for her answer as he eavesdropped on their conversation. "You know it!" she said in a flirty type voice and walked away.
*As Eli walked to class he tried shaking the thought of how Chasity was flirting with Luke, until his friend Blaze walked up beside him. "You'll never believe who I'm taking to the bonfire.." Blaze exclaimed smiling ear to ear. "Who?" asked Eli trying to seem happy for his friend. "Harper." he said without hesitating.
*Chasity's P.O.V.
Chasity sat down in her usual seat, when seconds later Harper sat down with a smug smile. "What's up you?" Chasity asked letting out a small laugh. "Blaze just asked me to go with him to Luke's bonfire!" she said clearly excited. "Well good for you!" Chasity said with a smile happy for her friend. "So has anyone asked you?" she said trying to change the subject. "You know no one is going to ask me to the bonfire..." Chasity said rolling her eyes. "I heard Luke was pretty interested." Harper said giving a wink while twirling her hair jokingly. "Whatever Harp." said Chasity letting out a laugh, before class began.
*Day turned to Night, and the game vs. the Broncs soon came, with a victory for the Vikings, was made. This was going to make the bonfire a celebratory bonfire now instead of a hang out bonfire, which everyone knew would be more party like.
*Chasity pulled up into Luke's driveway, and looked around to see plenty of cars, and huge bonfire out in the middle of the country. She quickly got out, and was greeted by people from her school, and few out of town girls she knew. Luke instantly saw her, and invited her to sit with him.
*About an hour past, and Chasity was having plenty of 'sober' fun without drinking, learning her lesson from her last party, when she noticed Eli sitting on the bed of pickup with two girls on eitherside of him, obviously drunk. She quickly went back to talking with Luke and didn't think a thing of Eli again.
*Elijiah's P.O.V.
Eli sat on the edge of a pickup bed, flirting with two out of town girls, but still kept eyeing Luke and Chasity who seemed to keep getting closer and closer, and the closer they got the more Eli wanted to drink. At one point in the night he thought she had eyed him, but couldn't really be sure.
When he glanced over and saw Luke and Chasity sharing a blanket his drunkness overruled his self control and left the girls on the bed of the trunk, and made a beeline towards Chasity.
"Chasity I really need to talk to you." he said standing infront of her and Luke. "Can it wait, Eli?" she said alittle bit peeved from him ruining the moment. "No." he said grabbing her hand pulling him away from Luke, who was pissed off at Eli for taking her away from him, obviously knowing what Eli was going to do.
*Chasity's P.O.V.
Chasity right of the bat smelt beer under his breath, and knew what he was going to say was drunk talk.
When they were about 100 yards away from the crowd he pulled her over into a barn. "Chasity you have been messing with my mind all day, you seriously have me going crazy..." he said caging her in against the wall. "Eli, you're drunk. I think it's time for you to go home..." she said taking him by the hand about to lead him towards Blaze. "No I'm not, Chasity, just hear me out..." he said pulling her back. "Make if fast loverboy." she said crossing her arms. "Ever since you said what you thought of me, you've been on my mind non-stop. And all I want to do is change your mind, please let me change your mind, and let me take you on one date.." he said. "Eli you're so drunk right now, let's pretend this didn't happen, and if you remember any of this tomorrow then MAYBE I'll go out on ONE date with you." she said as she walked aways towards Luke.
"So what'd Eli have to say?" asked Luke coldly.
"Drunk rambling, he couldn't even see straight." she said taking her seat beside him.

Over the next couple of weeks Chasity avoided any contact with Elijiah, while all that was on Elijiah's mind was that kiss at his party. He kept to his old ways, flirting with girls 24/7, but he couldn't shake Chasity off his mind.
Throughout the school day Eli kept trying to catch Chasity and talk to her, but people kept getting in between them, and towards the end of the day he began to get short tempered, and frustrated. His day never seemed to let up, and kept getting worse and worse. He ended up getting detention, and when he finally got out to his car it was completely out of gas.
 
As Eli leaned up against his car he ran his fingers through his hair frustrated, saying "Crap." repeatedly. Obviously looking in need of help.
"Are you o.k.?" asked a small voice to the side of him.
*Eli quickly turns clearly upset, and then his heart quickly skips a beat when he sees who it is.
"Chasity. . ." he said just gazing at her.
"Yeah, do you need some help you look kind of upset." she said shuffling her feet.
"Do you think you could give me a lift to my house, I'm completely out of gas, and Blaze is at soccer practice and cant give me a ride." he said as if he had a wave of relief crash over him.
*Chasity squints her eyes a bit, "Yeah, let's go." she said gracefully walking towards her car.
*Eli's P.O.V.*
Eli climbed into her car, and was greeted with the scent of her perfume throughout the car, and was in love with it. She quickly turned on her car, and whipped out her iPod plugging it in and turning on "If you can't hang" by sleeping with sirens. And took off quickly obviously speeding. "She listens to Sleeping with Sirens, this girl has got to be perfect" he thought. A few seconds went on before she quietly started singing along, and he was taken aback by how beautiful her voice was.
"So have you been avoiding me these past 3 weeks?" he blurted out before thinking about what he was saying. "What? No of course not!" she said blushing and then adjusting her sunglasses. "Oh, well I guess it just seems like we never talk..." he said completely embarrassed. "Ya, you're kind of a douche bag, thats why we don't talk." she said glancing over at him with complete honesty in her voice, leaving Eli with his mouth in the shape of an 'O' shocked from her bluntness about it.
*Chasity turns up the volume on the stereo, and "If I'm James Dean, Then You're Audrey Hepburn" by Sleeping with Sirens blasting, and eventually starts singing along.
*Eli turns down the volume and then let his emotions run wild when he said "You know you're not exactly perfect either.." obviously hurt.
*Chasity brushed back her hair from her face, "Ya I'm a heinous b****, who doesn't give a s*** about how people see her. My bad I don't attempt to come off as a perfect person like yourself who thinks their too good for everyone." she said obviously a bit peeved. "Now how about we stop talking, because I think it's pretty obvious why we don't talk now." she said glancing over at him and turning the volume up once again.
*It was silent the rest of the way to Eli's house, and all Eli could think of is Chasity's opinion of him. Every girl was dying to be with him, and yet she didn't want him near her. He couldn't wrap his mind around it, and the more she didn't want him, the more he wanted to convince her that she was wrong.
*Chasity's P.O.V.
Chasity felt guilty for treating him so rudely, but she had seen the way he treated some of the people at her school, and felt it needed to be said. "He needed to have a taste of his own medicine..." she kept telling herself.
*Chasity pulls up to Eli's house.
"Thanks for the ride I guess.." he said still hurt. Chasity couldn't think of anything to say, so all she said was "Ya" with a small fake smile while looking him in the eyes. The second she looked into his eyes she instantly knew she had hurt his feeling.
